Witnesses form an important element of the evidence given in cases of this nature. They provide third-party evidence to shed light on events and the character of those accused.
Aside from Police, the evidence from expert and 'public' witnesses called upon for the prosecution in this case, actually supported Jemma's version of events; apart from the three key 'public' witnesses we highlight. As you read the below, it is clear to see why they would all testify against Jemma; there are obvious motives. It is not clear
why the court chose to believe all of their versions of events and could well have been down to the fact Jemma’s character had been destroyed by some of the media at this stage.
